FANTASTIC FOUR Pencilled Pages! Retro Marvel Comics!

Here is a fun find from my fathomless files! This was a three-page pencilled try-out for the then-new (2001) FANTASTIC FOUR: WORLD'S GREATEST COMIC MAGAZINE, from Marvel Comics! That series was a wonderful "retro" comic, created in the style of the original 60s FANTASTIC FOUR comics, so I tried to deliberately channel the art of Jack Kirby (the 60s FF artist supreme), and these were the results! Tugg! The Comic Book! On TV's RACHAEL RAY SHOW!

Below: After being approached to provide the cover for this charity comic book (one created to fund Tugg's animal rescue efforts), I turned in these pencils, featuring an homage to an early 70s's SUPERMAN cover by Neal Adams (inset)!

Remembering The TITANIC! Pencils From a 2009 Educational Graphic Novel!

With all the recent talk about the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's tragic voyage, I thought I'd present some pages of pencil art I created for a 2009 educational graphic novel about the doomed vessel! The publishers produced a series of such hard-cover comics, all to be placed in schools, and covering a variety of subjects, such as history, science, and even pop culture topics! Ton of reference and research was invloved, but I tried to imbue the final pencils with a sense of movement, action, and engaging fun! Click to enlarge!

The SHARK! NHL Comic Book Pencil Art! Stan Lee Presents! Original Comic Art!

You heard right! Marvel Comics main man and creator, Stan Lee, oversaw the creation of these superhero strips for the National Hockey League! Here are my pencils for the San Jose SHARK comic, an aquatic character who goes into action against cyber-saboteurs! Lots of fun! Click each image to enlarge!
