WORD WORLD Work! PBS TV!

Here are some illustrations done for the then-new PBS show, WORD WORLD! In that kid's education program, all objects are made of words, thus prompting kids to read!  It was a challenge creating word-shaped illustrations that were accurate, attractive, and enticing to young viewers and readers! SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Comic Book Art! Archie Comics!

One of the most successful comic book series of the last 20 years is Archie's SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! Followed by now-grown fans of the video game from the 90s, SONIC now sports a loyal following who love the characters, subplots, and relationships among the long-running group! Here is the rough sketch, as well as the  finished b/w and color art, for a piece submitted to a huge auction effort to support breast cancer prevention! Here is the original art for the "splash page" to an AVENGERS WEST COAST comic story I pencilled! It was great to draw such classic Marvel Comics characters, not only Scarlet Witch, but Iron Man, The Wasp, Vision, and others! This story was also scripted by Marvel writing  legend, Roy Thomas! The folks at DC were commissioned to create an educational dental care comic book for dentists to give to their young patients! Here are two pages for the GHOSTWRITER comic strip, for a Children's TV Workshop magazine! Based on the the PBS live-action reading show, the strip ran for over a year in the kid-oriented magazine.
